Date: January 4th 2007 Project: TCF Bank Stadium

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota today unveiled the final design of the new TCF Bank Stadium. The $248 million, on-campus stadium is the largest project financially in collegiate sports facility history and will open for the 2009 football season.

“TCF Bank Stadium will be just the sixth 50,000 seat, on-campus stadium to be built in the last 50 years,” said Scott Radecic, HOK Sport senior principal. “These projects don’t come along often, and for HOK Sport to be selected to work with the University of Minnesota on the largest collegiate football project demonstrates our continued commitment to collegiate sports facility design.”

HOK Sport has collaborated with Minneapolis firms Architectural Alliance and Studio Hive to design the stadium.

HOK Sport’s collegiate football portfolio includes projects at Penn State University; Virginia Tech; Georgia Tech; the University of Florida; the University of Alabama; the University of Oklahoma; the University of Kansas; Kansas State University; and the University of Missouri. Currently the firm is designing improvements to football stadiums at the University of Washington, Washington State University and Arizona State University.
