Following a commission from Cheltenham Racecourse Ltd in 1974 for a banqueting facility, HOK Sport were commissioned to develop an overall masterplan for the site to rationalise existing facilities and establish the parameters and framework within which future development of the racecourse would take place over a 50 year period.
With a phased development in place, the Racecourse now includes a new parade ring, horsewalk, paddock entrance and ancillary facilities. A new grandstand includes viewing terraces for 2000, bars, restaurants and hospitality suites split over 5 levels.
