The stadium was inspired by the tectonic plate shifting that birthed the Rocky Mountains millions of years ago. Layered metal-plate canopies covering the stands make a statement about the stadium's place among the Rockies beyond. Functionally, these canopies enhance and amplify spectator atmosphere, creating an intense and thrilling gameday mood. Exterior mullion patterns reflect the tectonic plates' layered formations, creating a complex, layered façade. The stadium’s exterior landscape blends harmoniously with its environment as it borders a wildlife preserve.
The silver-and-white seating bowl creates a visual representation of the Rockies' snow-capped peaks. The 18,000-seat bowl is nestled underneath canopies on the stadium’s east and west sides. Seating along the north and south ends creates a near-complete circle of fans, creating an intimidating presence for any defender on the field.
