The E Center was designed for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. This dynamic Olympic arena was used for short-track speed skating and preliminary hockey rounds. It accommodates all of the special needs of the Winter Olympics as well as a year-round hockey tenants and other events.
The arena easily converts into a theater through the use of a partition system, which seals off the seating bowl and concourses. The theater configuration can accommodate audiences up to 7,000. When in use as a theater, any trace of a sporting venue is obscured from the audience.
