HOK Sport designed Gillette Stadium to encourage social interaction, from its 70-foot wide concourses to open-air congregation areas, while reflecting the beauty of New England elements in a modern way - most notably with the stylized lighthouse and the arched pedestrian bridge.
The stadium takes advantage of naturally occurring granite outcroppings to define the west concourse and the playing field level, resulting in a unique 'split-level' stadium. The New England seacoast landscape design also forms the cornerstone of the dramatic north endzone festival plaza.
