Great American Ball Park has been designed to integrate into the urban fabric and encourage a pedestrian connection with the Ohio River. Even the seating bowl offers scenic vistas of the river and the Roebling Bridge.

The ball park's north façade recalls the architecture of the original warehouses on the banks of the river, using a rhythm of brickwork and translucent perforated metal. To the west, the seating bowl creates distinct seating neighborhoods via a split on axis with Sycamore Street. It expresses the structural lattice of trusses and light towers as a complement to the neighboring Roebling Bridge, while offering tribute to the steel truss work of Crosley Field.
