The City of Anaheim was looking for a "more creative-looking and less expensive arena" to attract a sports franchise and host major entertainment events.

Honda Center (formerly Arrowhead Pond), home of the NHL's Mighty Ducks, features a dramatic ceremonial arch entry filled with glass. Details include polished granite archways, marble, stucco, polished brass, dropped ceilings and plush seats. Unprofitable "downtime" was significantly reduced with interchangeable endzone platforms that roll out, turn and push back in within two hours. This system allows ideal sightlines for all hockey fans, spectators and concert-goers.
