Brighton and Hove City Council had a dream to not only replace the old King Alfred sports centre, but to create an iconic piece of architecture in the same way that Bilbao achieved with the Guggenheim Centre.
The remarkable architectural approach wraps the development, in swathes of glass and metal. The towers stand on a podium housing a major state of the art indoor sports and leisure facility including 25 metre competition pool, 10 metre teaching pool, and children's' learning pool with a combined changing village for both wet and dry facilities.
