The arrival of a new era in Kansas State football brought with it a desire to update a stadium originally constructed in 1968. The expansion of Bill Snyder Family Stadium not only resulted in an increased seating capacity, but also added fan amenities and other revenue generating features. The steel grandstand was replaced and sightlines improved.

Suites were also added in response to the surging demand. Each new suite contains a switch that opens the lower half of the glass at the front of the suite. This allows patrons to either enjoy the game with the rest of the fans or close the windows and watch the game in climate controlled comfort.
