After performing a master plan for upgrades to Louisiana State University's Tiger Stadium in 1995, HOK Sport was retained by the Tiger Athletic Foundation as design architect for the East Side Expansion. The upper deck seats more than 9,000 fans with access to an open-air concourse overlooking the campus. Disabled fans are able to enjoy upper-level seating previously unavailable to them. Sculptural structures and exterior building materials complement the existing stadium and provide a harmonious visual link to the campus academic buildings to the east.
