Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore is a genuine embodiment of traditional and architectural values. The design is firmly rooted in Baltimore and is a direct and specific response to the city and site, physically and spiritually. With baseball renowned as a classic game of numbers, dimensions and statistics, the design concept for this ballpark includes traditional detailing.
In deference to baseball's historic link to urban America, the design celebrates the city and the sport. It integrates a turn-of-the-century railroad warehouse beyond the right field wall, creating an instantly recognizable backdrop and providing a strong sense of enclosure.
