The Reebok Stadium reflects the Bolton Wanderers FC rediscovered football league success and provides a regional sports and leisure facility for NW England.

The dramatic superstructure of the stadium was the architect's response to the client's ambitions for the creation of a landmark structure. The building form focuses visually on a dramatic roof over sailing a simple oval plan, each element fitting neatly to the other and the whole reading as a unified form. The spectators are located, in true British football ground fashion, as near as possible to the playing field to maintain closeness to the action and to generate an exciting atmosphere.
