The University of Washington retained HOK Sport to assess all 23 sports facilities, athletic administration and support offices. Part of the phased athletic facilities master plan included review of maintenance, operations and all fan amenities. Pedestrian and vehicular circulation and parking were analyzed to maximize the gameday experience for students, alumni and staff.

The master plan helped the University to prioritize goals – new facilities vs. renovation – and establish costs for each athletic facility. The renovated facilities will include football (Husky Stadium), indoor tennis, team locker rooms, weight room, and coaches’ offices. New facilities will include an outdoor tennis stadium, softball, baseball, soccer, track, a parking garage, aquatic facility, and athletic offices.

In addition to evaluating the athletic facilities, HOK also developed a graphics and signage master plan. The plan helps create a cohesive use of the Husky brand throughout all of the University’s athletic facilities.
