Richard joined HOK Sport in 1997, as a member of the design team for ANZ Stadium (formerly Telstra Stadium) and the overlay masterplan for the Sydney Olympic Park precinct. After working in the London office of HOK Sport for 6 years, Richard is now based in Auckland as Principal, and is responsible for the New Zealand projects. He also sits on the management team for the Brisbane office.
During his time in London, Richard worked on the new Wembley Stadium and his eventual role was to ensure the client’s interests were met during the construction phase of the project. Richard also led the design team for two stadia constructed in Portugal for the Euro 2004 soccer competition. Following this, he was the project leader for HOK Sport's successful masterplan for the London 2012 Olympic Park.
Now in New Zealand, Richard manages the team designing the redevelopment of Eden Park for the 2011 Rugby World Cup, and the Dunedin Multipurpose Stadium.
